For my second post,I want to take totake time and throw in some personal feelings.First off, I believe in Open Source software and its community and I believe in a person’s right to express his or her personal ideals and thoughts. I’m against censorship and I’m against companies feeling they have a right to search through a candidates’s Facebook profile looking for reasons to disqualify him/her. Because of this, even tho I want a job I will not interview with any company who demands access to my social media to give me the honor to interview with them because I don’t see the reason. My facebook profile is my own and I use it to laugh and joke and share things I find funny. I respect others and DO NOT post anything offensive to other groups because personally I feel insulting others because of gender/race/or place of origin is wrong on an ethical level.

I believe if other candidates would stand against this practice then companies would change/stop it altogether.
